Road to the General Election: Health

Overview

Health is set to be a major battleground in the General Election - for both the government and Labour Party. Through Labour’s ‘Build an NHS fit for the future’ Mission, the party has put reform of healthcare at the heart of its campaign, and aims to show a ‘tangible difference’ to waiting lists and quality of care within the first years of a Labour government.

This session with former Minister for Public Health and Skills, Rt Hon Anne Milton, alongside Patients First Coalition and Purpose Coalition Members will explore how health will form a crucial part of the General Election campaign, and what a Labour government will look to do should they take power later this year. This session follows a similar event in February 2024, and will explore how the health policy landscape is evolving ahead of the election.
